Diversity

Every facet of education is enhanced by diversity, and I am committed to continuing to learn how to best serve students from all backgrounds in my classroom.  

Diversity Statement: It is not enough to merely talk about creating change.  Creating change requires actionable steps.  I actively seek out opportunities to learn and implement these key learnings in my career.

 

Class Axioms: Students are individuals who come from diverse backgrounds and have different skill sets.  At the beginning of each semester, my classes and I adopt an axiomatic system centered around learning for all students, and we agree on classroom expectations that help cultivate a classroom culture consistent with those axioms.  Read them here.
